FAQ's
The answers to your questions!
How many photos will I receive?
Each package includes a guaranteed minimum number of edited images. However, clients typically receive significantly more than the stated amount, as I believe in delivering every photo that helps tell your story.
How will I receive my photos?
Photos are delivered through a private online gallery where you can view, download, share, and print your images.
What counts as a location?
A location is considered a distinct area or destination. For example, Bosco Plaza, Anderson Hall, and Bill Snyder Stadium would each count as separate locations. However, 'The Oval' and utilizing the center sidewalk, surrounding buildings, and grass area would count as one.
** If you have a location in mind and aren't sure, send me a message!
What package is best for engagement photos?
For most engagement sessions, I recommend the 'Better Together' or 'Forever' packages. These options allow enough time for multiple locations, a variety of poses, and a more relaxed experience.
If you're planning a surprise proposal, the 'Forever' package is often the best choice, as it allows time to capture both the proposal and portraits afterward!
Do you help plan surprise proposals?
Absolutely!! If you're planning a surprise proposal, I can help coordinate timing, location selection, and logistics to ensure the moment is captured while keeping the surprise intact.
Can I change outfits during my session?
Yes! Outfit changes are welcome and can help add variety to your gallery. The number of changes will depend on your selected package and available session time.
** If you need help choosing an outfit to fit the aesthetic of your location, send me a message!
Do you travel outside of your 'Possible Locations'?
Yes! Travel within 15 miles of my current location is included at no additional cost. For sessions beyond that distance, a travel fee may apply depending on the location.
If you'd like to avoid a travel fee, feel free to reach out. I frequently travel between Colorado and Kansas and may already have plans to be in your area. I'm happy to notify you when I'm nearby so we can schedule your session without additional travel costs.
What payment methods do you accept?
Payments can be made through the website, Venmo, Cash App, cash, or check. Payment details will be provided during the booking process.
What sports do you photograph?
I photograph a variety of sports and athletic events, with experience in baseball, basketball, flag football, football, golf, rowing, soccer, softball, tennis, track & field, and volleyball.
Coverage options may vary depending on the sport, venue access, event duration, and the number of athletes or teams being covered.
**If you have questions about a specific event, send me a message!
How far in advance should I book?
The earlier, the better! If you have a specific date in mind or need photos for an upcoming event, I recommend reaching out as soon as possible. The earlier you book, the more flexibility there will be in selecting a date, time, and location that works best for your session.
Certain seasons tend to fill up quickly, including:
- Senior portraits: Summer and early fall
- Cap & gown sessions: November through December and April through May
- Couples sessions: Around holidays, Valentine's Day, and peak fall colors
** Even if my schedule is currently full, feel free to contact me. I'm happy to discuss availability or explore alternative dates
Can I request specific photos, poses, or bring props?
Absolutely! While I focus on capturing authentic moments and natural interactions, I'm always happy to incorporate specific poses, photo ideas, or shots that are important to you. Props are also encouraged and can help make your session more personal and meaningful.
Whether it's sports equipment, graduation items, instruments, flowers, signs, vehicles, or something unique to your story, feel free to bring it along.
** If you're unsure whether an idea or prop will work well, send me a message!
What's the best time to take photos?
The best time for a photoshoot depends on the type of session, location, and the look you're hoping to achieve. In most cases, I recommend scheduling your session to begin approximately two hours before sunset. This time of day, often referred to as "golden hour," provides soft, flattering light and beautiful colors that photograph exceptionally well.
That said, every session is different. Sports coverage, graduation ceremonies, and certain locations may require different timing.
